I decided to start this post with a bit of Yoruba Highlife just because the default songs of celebration in my head comes in Yoruba and the reason for this particular song is that I woke up on Sunday to meet my mum singing and dancing along to this. I got a bad review about my last post and I was so sad. You can imagine how I felt listening to my mum singing this and how uplifting it was to me. It was telling me to keep on going, keep on writing, not to focus on just one bad, to look at everything I have accomplished and how far I have come.
With the rise in fuel price, the constant rise in inflation, schools yet to open, September looks a bit scary to me. We often wait for something big or absolutely amazing to happen so we can celebrate it but tend to overlook our small victories. I say victories because that is what I count them as; waking up this morning, finally starting up that dream venture, resuming lectures even if it is online, the smile from your loved ones, being healthy and basically everything you do every day no matter how small it is. I know it is easier to focus on all the wrong happening right now but this is a reminder to you to celebrate your little wins.
One of the ways of celebrating life's little Victories is by being grateful for them. It requires a conscious effort to see the good things in life and maybe a bit more effort to be grateful for them. One of the things that would help is starting a thanks journal. A thanks journal is basically used for writing down everything you are thankful for each day. It's just a means of counting your blessings and it would help you to see them as victories especially when you go back to them when you are in a rough patch or when things seem to be going out of hand.

I promised to mention something about my online classes, and so far it is going well provided the internet connection is stable. As a lazy student, I prefer this to going to class every day and having to put on uniforms and all that story. One thing I didn't plan for was the increase in my data consumption so I ran out of data on Saturday and that's why this post is coming today. Hopefully, the next post would be on Monday as usual.
Do have a beautiful week.
You can reach me on theestherian@gmail.com, I am dying to hear from you.

Beautiful one dear. Please don't ever stop writing. Focus on your many good posts. Thank you for the reminder to celebrate small wins. September is scary honestly, but at least we're alive so we have to be grateful.
