TDS: Satisfying A Wanderlust

Image
Source: Pinterest Wan·der·lust /ˈwändərˌləst/ noun: wanderlust A strong desire to travel. One thing I love about my father is his love for adventures. He is always interested in going somewhere new and coming back with stories of how such a journey went. He loves travelling and somehow; I fell in love with travelling too. There is something quite fascinating about being somewhere no one knows you, somewhere you can take in the sights and get lost in it, somewhere that can captivate you and show you how diverse life is.  I am always on the lookout for something that would get me away from the life I am living. I am always waiting, maybe impatiently for something to break my routine and the mundane life that has somehow become my every day. I crave experiences that are pockets of joy, where time can stop, and I can let loose. I am always looking for an opportunity to escape home, and maybe I was born to be a nomad of sorts, going from place to place in search of somewhere new for my ...

TDS: It's A Home Design Obsession

Image
It has been forever. Welcome back to the Dream series. This is a little something where I talk about what I want to achieve, and I put down hoping you understand my person and the reasoning to some things I do. Last time on the dream series, I talked about creating a virtual safe space for teenagers and young adults, where they can share their experiences, learn, be mentored and above all be better humans in a society like ours. You can check it out here . IT’S A HOME DESIGN OBSESSION It all started with an episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and after several home renovation shows, different home design shows and a Pinterest board dedicated to interior designs, you can say I might have a slight obsession with home designs. Source: Twitter ( @INTERIORPORN1) One of the basic human needs is shelter, a safe place to stay, and a house is shelter. Over the years, houses have grown from being just somewhere to live but something to enjoy, something pleasing, a definition of one...

To the things I find beautiful

Image
This is an appreciative post to some of the things that make me stop and leave me spellbound, all the things that evoked intense interest in me and everything I find beautiful. Colours Source: Pinterest      Bright, bursting, overwhelming, gentle, calming, peaceful and ethereal are all the words I will use to describe colours. The colours everywhere is one of the things that get me drawn into my every day, in painting, in nature, in pictures and so on. And the fact that colours appear different in respect to time, like the city view at night lit up by the streetlamps and reflection on moving cars and glass creates such a surreal environment. The most amazing display of colour for me would always be sunrise or sunset. I can't count how many times I wake up so early just to see the sunrise. Travels and Road trips Source: Pinterest     While I don't get to do this often because of schooling, I enjoy travelling by any means possible. Although I f...

The Dream Series

Image
The thing with dreams is, they are bigger than what we have and greater than our current capability or circumstance. The dream series is a collection of basically everything I intend to do and a means of offering you an insight into who I am and why I do the things I do. Starting this series is an act of faith because writing it down makes it more than just a mere thought in my head and it becomes hopefully a source of inspiration to you. I have always had dreams of grandeur and more than anything, I dream of saving people and changing lives which is why I am starting the dream series with my biggest dream yet. BUILDING A PATCH OF HEAVEN      I have been shaped by the experiences I went through growing up and for so long I was a misfit, misunderstood and even if I tried my best to deal with the cards dealt to me, it has not been a smooth or straight forward journey. I had a lot of questions and seek to understand the events around me and the circumstan...
