Black's Art Challenge III

Image
It has been a while since the last art challenge. Today, we are doing something along the lines of abstract art. A Lil Bit Abstract      This is an attempt of understanding what exists  in the innerverse of an artist, an attempt in portraying something we tend to overlook.  I hope to explain the drawing right in front of you. Culture Vile, despicable, maybe it needs a pop of colour was the first thing that came up in my mind. The first two words are mostly in line with what I presume the drawing represents and maybe there is something about the distorted proportion the drawing has or the grotesque feel it leaves that I find rather unsettling.  The next thing that came to mind was a question. Why is there something a bit twisted in his mind? The most prominent element of the drawing is a half-naked woman with what appears to be a ram to her left and faces separated by a talking drum on her right.   Hello, Here is another instalment of the Black's Art challenge with my friend, Black_Spiritual. The challenge is creating a short story that shows the artiste inspiration for each piece here today. I would to the best of my abilities to tell the story behind each piece with my own twist. Enjoy. You know how easy it is for me to equate new experiences to old ones and judge them based on those, how easy to look at something from my perspective and relate them to the images formed in my head. You understand that I am bound by...

Made with Logo Maker app A few weeks ago, a friend challenged me. He would come up with a drawing or painting on any topic and I would write a short story about it. Easy right? One Title: Hollow At first glance, it is easy to say that a man can be seen in the tree but with a closer look, you begin to realize things are not the way they appear. This drawing reveals something about the nature of man. You can see when you take a closer look that the leaves or rather the tree is made out of a face. The roots of this tree is what makes the man himself, his struggles, challenges and the things we cannot fully see his background. The trunk of the tree is not straight, it is bent in such a way that we get a glimpse of the man. Beyond his face, we realize his journey of becoming is not easy. He came from somewhere and his experiences have shaped him into becoming who is now. Inside this portrait, we are shown a stern-looking man, viewing us with the same intensity we use to look at him. His lip...
