  Hey! How has the new year been? Pretty awesome, right? And I thought of what better way to start this year than with a book review.  I got to read this book, last year after I read someone’s commentary on the book of Esther which spurred me to look for other stories or commentary about women in the bible. While I was searching for another book, I stumbled on a work of fiction by Francine Rivers(FR), “The Lineage Of Grace” .  She did a retelling of this story based on biblical accounts but filling in the outline of those stories with dialogue and helping us take a step back in time and to understand the culture and environment these women find themselves in and how they ended up being the only women mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus. Knowledge Vs Experience

Why You Can’t Perfectly Predict Your Response To A New Experience. Have you ever heard the saying, “ experience is the best teacher ”? I am certain a greater percentage of people have. What about “ to be forewarned is to be forearmed ”? Both quotes seem to point to the same thing, that the knowledge of something translates to better handling of that thing, or having a previous experience of something equips you with dealing with a similar situation more efficiently.  Source: Shalom's WhatsApp Status Last week, I saw something on a friend status that I sort of agreed with. She was talking about pain and growth and concluded that knowledge and experience are two different things.  And yeah they are. 15: On Character Development

Connections. Earlier today, I had a Family medicine test. I believed the test was going to be a breeze, and that was reflected in the way I handled the preparation for the test. It wasn't bad and I was satisfied with how the test went. But that's by the way. The main issue was the way I felt before the test started. For reasons best known to our examiners, we did not enter the hall according to our serial number on the class list, and we were told to sit anywhere for the test. I ended up sitting near someone that used to be my friend. And with the way everything ended between us, I decided to stop acknowledging said person.   I had a mix of emotions ranging from sadness to anger because I had to keep seeing this person until the seats separating us were filled. I am not sure what brought about this range of emotions since I have been seeing him around for a long while now. My best bet is a conversation that I had a few days prior, where he had come up.
